Sarah Cullen, a Director, exemplifies Stanislawski & Harrison’s successful hands-on operating style. “At Stanislawski & Harrison, the Directors do more than just sign the tax returns,” she says. “When a client has a problem, I answer the phone, and I solve the problem.”

Unlike partners at many larger firms, Sarah regularly works one-on-one with her clients, including large family offices assisting them with both entity and individual matters. This approach creates closer, more creative relationships and provides an environment where innovative ideas that benefit clients can thrive.

Sarah has been providing tax and consulting services to high net worth individuals, their closely held entities, and nonprofit organizations for more than eighteen years. She spent the first part of her career at the international accounting firm Arthur Andersen as a Manager and Director in their Private Client Services Group. Sarah gained substantial expertise there while providing high-level income, charitable giving and estate planning services to her clients. Among her achievements, she restructured- a large nonprofit organization in order to save it from paying substantial annual tax on unrelated business income. She also edited several chapters on charitable foundations for Arthur Andersen’s popular and influential book “Tax Economics of Charitable Giving.”

Sarah’s comprehensive approach coordinates income tax planning and compliance with all aspects of her clients’ financial situations. She is therefore able to offer creative, practical solutions that are customized for each client’s circumstances. “I am much more than a tax advisor,” she says. “I keep the whole picture in mind, which frees my clients to focus on their goals for their businesses and families.”
